100 Years

Since this blog is nominally supposed to follow my writing projects, it seems the right thing to do now to announce a bit of progress, no matter how small. I finally mapped out most of the larger story arc that spans a number of individual pieces and worked out over 100 years of tale to tell. Not to shabby! Along the way, I found several connections between events and characters that I hadn't even realized existed. It just goes to show that it never hurts to stop and "get your bearings" before rushing headlong into developing a particular plot -- there may be interesting things to discover that arise on their own. 

Now it's time to return again to overhauling the beginning of it all -- a project that started 25 years ago. Updating, re-working, re-developing... it seems to never end, although each time through it gets a bit clearer and set on its proper path.
